S.A.D. - Seasonal Affective Disorder 🤯🤯
“A type of depression. It happens during certain seasons of the year—most often fall or winter. It is thought that shorter days and less daylight may trigger a chemical change in the brain leading to symptoms of depression.”
Everything starts with awareness. This allows us to know that a problem exists and that awareness empowers us to make changes if we choose to. Or, at least seek help and assistance. The issue with some of these symptoms is that thru our upbringing, we’ve learned to identify these signs and symptoms as normal. That sense of normalcy translates to it being “ok” and it is not. These are signs to look for when things aren’t right within 🙏🏿 share and pass this one to spread awareness 🌹✨
