I am a Marine Corps Vet, and Wildlife Conservationist. My wife Myra and I have been busy over the last 3 years researching and studying to become a Master Beekeeper through the Eastern Apiculture Society . Over the last year we have kept Honeybees here in East Central Ohio and we are quickly gaining experience, and wanting to expand our love of honeybees to you and your families.

It’s that time of the year again here in Ohio, SWARM SEASON!!!!!! Got a cluster of bees just hanging around? A beekeeper looking for some “freebees”? Check out this new reporting system!

Report bee swarms for free to protect bees and your community. Swarmed instantly alerts local beekeepers who are able to safely collect and relocate swarms.

It’s been a beautiful day here with our bees. 🐝 Happy Easter from all of us at the hives!

We are SO excited to announce a new project, in partnership with so many wonderful Licking County organizations, Meadows for Monarchs!

The Meadows for Monarch project combines instruction from habitat restoration experts with a lending library of tools, equipment, and native seed mixes— to equip Licking County landowners with everything they need to convert ordinary lawns into extraordinary habitat for monarchs and other pollinators!

By enrolling in the program, you’ll be encouraged to attend a series of training workshops (check our website for dates!) prior to gaining access to a lending library of tools and equipment for site preparation, including seeders, backpack sprayers, and solarization materials. Once your plot is prepped using one of the recommended site preparation methods, you’ll have access to a supply of native seed mix to plant your own wildflower meadow for monarchs and other pollinators.

Are you interested in being a part of the Meadow for Monarchs program? Register here! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe2R6mtmqEyfghOKGj-_6I1RKAun-1rog6gDgP-W0DWWGtr2g/viewform
