Hope you had a grand St. Patrick’s Day🍀This week has been a whirlwind of Chaletmomma work and Chalet stuff - you know the bits that keep a house clean and people fed - speaking of that I’ve spent all week trying to understand my son’s new sports schedule - and how late we’ll be eating dinner - (if you saw my stories I shared how Ice Hockey has tight start/stop times but Lacrosse seems to have no schedule whatsoever🤦🏻‍♀️) Seems 7:30/8pm is our new dinnertime! Yikes! And our false spring is over it’s been replaced with temps in the 30’s. Sorry to seem crabby friends but that’s how I’m feeling I’m over forever winter and craving warmth and greenery! This weekend will be chauffeuring to fields🥂 Cheers to it friends!

Well it finally happened friends! We reached 80* this week! Spring seems to be here in NJ all the snow has melted and it’s been life affirming! This week was all the things: busy, fun, and sad. I had a thrift/shop/lunch day with my bestie, celebrated the life of a friend who passed, helped with the high school Hockey Banquet, Chaletmomma work and Mom stuff: chauffering, cleaning, and laundry. Tonight I’m headed to for dinner with a dear friend 🥂 ENJOY IT ALL FRIENDS!

We had a bit of snow early this week and buckets of rain yesterday. Ugh! I’m so in need of sun - I chose yellow this week. We had the end of Hockey season and that was bittersweet (love my Blues family) but I’m looking forward to seeing the kiddos and parents at our team dinner this weekend. I listened to Theo of Golden and Strangers - both brilliant books about differing subjects but at their core about Love. Check out my Favorite 📚Highlight for additional recommendations.
Of course there was Mom stuff: chauffering, cleaning, laundry, and for my business computer work. I have a New Phone📱and it’s pretty major since my last was a 2018. Happy to have braved the weather yesterday for a bit of thrifting! Today I have an appt at the catering hall for the high school hockey year end dinner and an eye Dr. appt. Hoping all goes well with my 👀. Tonight we’ll be for Lenten Soup & Stations ✝️ Cheers to the weekend 🥂!

Another quick week due to the 14 inches of snow we received Sunday/Monday. We had been scheduled to be at the Hockey Playoffs through Sunday - but between the loss and the weather we hightailed it home Saturday night. No school Monday, delayed opening Tuesday and again Wednesday because of another 2inches of snow. 😖This winter has been a lot friends. Of course I did Mom stuff: chauffering, cleaning, laundry, + Work stuff: articles written, reaching out to clients and subjects. Today I’m indulging in a Swedish Massage and after 3+ hrs shoveling I still feel sore - so I’m looking forward to feeling refreshed! We have Soup & Stations this evening for Lent and two final hockey games this weekend to end our club season 🥅 🏒 Cheers to the weekend!

The sunshine today was life affirming! Truly - after at least 14inches of snow - and 3+ hrs of shoveling yesterday - it was a delight to open the front door to warmth! I spent time chasing the sun for my plants moving them around the livingroom and sunporch. Loved all the bright beautiful light in the Chalet.

I’ve heard murmurs of more snow this week to this I say Ugh! 😩! Hoping this finds you well!

This week was a funny quick one since Monday was a holiday - I feel like p**f it’s Friday. I got a lovely haircut - isn’t it the best when your stylist gets it! Love my new do! I worked on the computer a bunch and wrote some pieces for the site - and of course I did life stuff - cooking, cleaning, chauffeuring. I hung a piece of art and framed a couple. This weekend my son’s club team has Play-Offs🏒🥅 so I’ll be at the Rink trying not to freeze🥂Cheers to the weekend!

The weather improved a bit this week yay! Golly this week went by in a flash of work, Chalet work, Bookclub prep and I spent yesterday tooling around Montclair Center with lunching and shopping Today will find me knee deep in computer work. Yet another week of frigid temps friends I can’t take much more - wearing multiple layers around the Chalet🥶! I spent the week ticking things off my ToDo List including another dentist visit. Today I’m off to the Glen Ridge Antiques Show and then to .green.barn to see the lovely and only one Hockey Game on Sunday. Cheers to the weekend🥂

We were blessed with sunshine while enjoying tour of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. The land was purchased in 1871, the cornerstone of this Neo-Gothic structure in the French style was laid in 1899 and the building completed in 1954. It became a Basilica when Pope John Paul II visited October 4, 1995 and he bestowed the title. It’s next to Branch Brook park.

Hope you enjoy a glimpse at this monumental building.
