As we raise awareness for National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day we are wearing RED to show solidarity, and support efforts to reduce HIV stigma and promote education, testing, and prevention within Black communities. This observance highlights the disproportionate impact HIV continues to have on Black communities and emphasizes the importance of routine testing, access to care, and community-wide education. Raising awareness helps break stigma, encourages prevention, and supports healthier outcomes for all.

An eating plan that helps promote health and manage weight includes a variety of healthy foods. Comfort foods, in limited amounts, can be part of healthy eating patterns. People with healthy eating patterns live longer and are at lower risk for serious health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. For people with chronic diseases, healthy eating can help manage these conditions and prevent complications. Visit www.myplate.gov to learn more on healthy eating.
