Congratulations Sherman Shelly, QMA, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.

Cypress Grove is proud to announce Sherman Shelly as our 2025 Quest for Excellence winner! Sherman has worked at Cypress Grove for four years and has advanced from a Nurse Aide in Training to a QMA.

He was first introduced to the nursing field by his cousin, who encouraged him to try it out and see if it was a fit. During a stay in the hospital, he found himself interested in what the nursing team was doing, and this intrigued him even more to explore options in healthcare.

Turns out that it was an excellent fit for Sherman as he shows all the core values of compassion, accountability, relationships, and excellence that are needed to be an excellent caregiver! Sherman has excellent relationships with peers, residents, and families, and he will do anything necessary to deliver excellent care to our residents, as well as making himself ready and available to help his co-workers whenever needed.

When he is not working, Sherman likes to work out, play games, spend time outside, and play with his two dogs. He has advanced his nursing career quite rapidly and is highly motivated to continue to advance in the field. He states that he has excellent nurse role models in his life, which is highly motivating to help him follow suit!
