A little late posting, but I’ve had so many people to thank for making my 40th birthday so special 🤍
We celebrated the weekend before at Nutwood Winery with delicious wine, yummy food, and great live music. It was a small, relaxed evening and exactly what I had hoped for. I told Troy I just wanted something easy and meaningful, and he delivered.
My mom gave me one of my grandmother’s favorite rings, and that gift will always hold such a special place in my heart. She was such a big part of my younger life and gave me some of the sweetest childhood memories. Wearing her ring into this next decade feels really meaningful.
The next weekend, some of my closest girlfriends, some of 20 plus years and some nearly 30 years, celebrated me with dinner at Beirut and then a sleepover at Kaylee’s. Kaylee truly brought all the extra details and made the night so thoughtful and special. We laughed, told old stories, and played ping pong until 2 a.m. What a gift it is to have friendships that span decades.
On my actual birthday, we ended up staying home because Andie came down with the flu. Not exactly what we planned, but we made the best of it. Troy cooked us a delicious steak dinner, and honestly, being home together felt just right.
Thank you to everyone who called, texted, and reached out to wish me a happy birthday. I feel so loved.
I’m truly looking forward to my 40s. I pray this decade brings more discipline, deeper relationships, and that I grow more Christlike each year. My biggest desire is to serve God the way He intends and to deepen that relationship more than ever before.
Here’s to the next chapter 🤍✨
