What is IOP? How does your Newnan IOP Process Work?

👉Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) are great options for patients needing structured support but not requiring full-time care and supervision. The flexibility provided by IOPs lets patients maintain a balance between addiction therapy and work, school, and family life while still committing to their recovery goals.

👉Flexible Scheduling- Our IOP sessions are scheduled to fit into your routine. During the admissions process we will go over your commitments outside of therapy to find a time that best suits your schedule. The goal is to provide flexibility while still engaging in your recovery process.

👉Personalized Treatment Plans- During your intake, we will go over your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs to develop a treatment plan tailored specifically to you and your recovery. We will make sure your therapy, life skills, and wellness practices align with your goals and needs.

Therapeutic Support- As part of your IOP, you will participate in individual therapy, and group therapy with the goal of building coping skills and strengthening relationships so you can sustain a life of sobriety in the real world.

At Hope Haven, we know that until someone is physically well, therapy and healing have very little chance of taking hold. Detox isn't just a first step — it's the foundation everything else is built on.

If you or someone you love is at that crossroads where life with substances feels impossible, but life without them feels unimaginable — we're here to help. Reach out. You don't have to figure this out alone. 💙

🛑 Important Message from Hope Haven Recovery Center.

Hope Haven Team Leader Oliver sheds light on the fact that Addiction has not changed but the substances on the street have.

Many over-the-counter products sold in v**e shops, head shops, and gas stations now contain powerful substances like tianeptine, kava-kava, and kratom — some kratom extracts are 5–10x stronger than morphine per milligram.

What’s advertised as “natural” help for mood, anxiety, energy, or pain can quickly become highly addictive and physically dependent.

If you or someone you love has gotten hooked on these products and doesn’t know how to stop, you’re not alone. Reach out to us at Hope Haven Recovery Center — we’re here to help you navigate this and get your life back.

🚨 Important Message from Hope Haven Recovery Center 🚨

Hope Haven Team Leader Oliver breaks down the newest OTC product called Kratom — that herbal supplement you can buy at gas stations, marketed for pain relief, energy, mood, and anxiety.

What many people don’t realize is that kratom contains compounds that act on the same opioid receptors as morphine and oxycodone. It’s a powerful opioid, and some of the newer extracts and derivatives are even stronger.

Even if you start taking it casually, your body can become dependent in just a few weeks. When you try to stop, the withdrawal can be brutal — very similar to he**in or prescription opioid withdrawal: restless legs, nausea, diarrhea, mood swings, hot/cold flashes, insomnia, and body aches. It can last 3–7 days or longer.

The good news? Help is available. Most insurance covers kratom detox, and we treat it the same as any other opioid detox.

If you or someone you love is struggling to stop kratom and feeling those withdrawal symptoms, don’t wait. Reach out to us at Hope Haven Recovery Center. We can help you safely detox, feel better physically, and build the tools to stay free moving forward.

You don’t have to go through this alone.

Message us or call today — we’re here to help. 💙

What is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)?

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a structured form of therapy that helps individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop healthy coping skills. Rooted in both cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness practices, DBT teaches balance, learning to accept yourself as you are while working toward meaningful change.

At Hope Haven, DBT provides a supportive environment where you can build the emotional tools needed to handle distress, regulate feelings, and respond to life’s challenges with greater stability and confidence.

Our therapists tailor DBT to each person’s needs, but treatment typically follows a practical, skills-based approach that encourages steady progress.

Your therapist begins by identifying the issues causing distress and setting specific goals—such as reducing impulsive behaviors, managing intense emotions, or improving communication.

🚨 URGENT WARNING: Tianeptine is NO “miracle supplement” — it’s straight-up DANGEROUS.

Found in many gas stations and smoke shops, this unapproved opioid-like substance is being sold in stores all across america, and online as a fake fix for anxiety, depression, or “brain boost.”

The FDA has issued repeated alerts because it’s NOT safe for ANY use in the U.S.

At higher doses it hijacks your brain like an opioid:

👉Addiction & brutal withdrawal
👉Seizures, coma, respiratory failure
Rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, nausea, agitation
👉Overdoses & DEATH (multiple confirmed cases, often mixed with other substances)

Poison control calls exploded, hospitals are seeing hospitalizations, and some states have already banned it. The stuff is unregulated — you have ZERO idea what’s actually in it or how strong it is.

If you or someone you know is using it, STOP immediately and get real medical help. Mental health struggles deserve safe, proven treatment — not this risky street substance disguised as a supplement.

If you know someone struggling with this substance give us a call at Hope Haven Recovery Center and let us help!

Oliver from Hope Haven Recovery Center shares a powerful mindset shift: When things don’t go as planned, you can view them as either an obstacle or an opportunity.

Instead of getting stuck in disappointment, reframe challenges as chances to learn, grow, ask for help, practice patience, or build acceptance. His simple rule? “Either I win… or I learn.”

A great reminder that every setback carries a lesson if we choose to see it.

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented form of talk therapy that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Rather than delving deeply into past events, CBT emphasizes present-day challenges and helps people develop practical skills to respond differently in daily life.

In CBT, you and your therapist work together as a team. You’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns or beliefs, understand how they influence how you feel and act, and learn new ways of thinking or behaving that lead to more effective outcomes.

Here at Hope Haven Recovery Center we offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that is tailored to each individual with typical steps like

1. Assessment And Goal Setting
2. Identifying Thoughts, Feelings, and Behaviors
3. Challenging Unhelpful Patterns
4. Practicing New Skills & Behaviors
5. Review & Consolidation
