Myth:
Colon cancer only affects older adults.

Truth:
Rates of colorectal cancer have actually been increasing in adults under age 50 over the past several years.

Because of this, screening guidelines were updated and now recommend starting screening at age 45 for most adults.

The goal of screening is not just to detect cancer, it’s to prevent it by finding and removing precancerous polyps early.

Not all genetic tests are designed to answer the same question. Let me explain….
