PurposeCare of Granger & Niles - Home Health, formerly Michiana Home Care, is a skilled home health care agency, proudly accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). We provide home care services to qualifying patients located in Berrien, Cass, Saint Joseph, Van Buren, Allegan, Ottawa, Kent, and Kalamazoo counties of Michigan, as well as St. Joseph, Elkhart, La Porte, Porter, Starke, Kosciusko, La Grange and Marshall Counties in Indiana.

1️⃣ Work with the client: Encourage mobility aids, guide instead of lift when possible.
2️⃣ Know your limits: If it feels unsafe, pause and adjust.
3️⃣ Check your stance: Bend at the knees, keep feet shoulder-width apart.
4️⃣ Protect your joints: Shift your weight instead of twisting, keep loads close to your body.
