Compassionate Roots

Compassionate Roots A nature-based counseling practice in Noblesville featuring an onsite garden.

Rooted in compassion and nurtured by nature, Compassionate Roots is the only nature-based counseling practice in Noblesville featuring an onsite garden offering in-person, virtual, and hybrid model therapy options for clients seeking a unique therapeutic experience who desire to lead a life with more peace, confidence, and clarity. About Nature-Based Therapy
Nature-based therapy (also known as ecotherapy) is rooted the belief that when we slow down, move away from the daily overwhelm, and allow our minds and bodies to reconnect with nature, we are able to better let go of stress and anxiety-driven thoughts, and instead, clear our minds and focus on presence and connection with ourselves and the world around us. Intentional time spent in nature is scientifically proven to:
Reduce stress
Improve cognitive abilities
Lower anxiety
Improve blood pressure
Lower heart rate
Increase confidence and self-esteem
Improve feelings of loneliness
Improve mood

More than anything, we believe that therapy should feel peaceful, authentic, and compassionate. Whether you’d like to spend time gardening and connecting with the earth in our outdoor space or you’d like to simply relax in a hammock while enjoying the beauty of nature around you, we have a place for you.

🦋 Photography opportunity! 🦋

Compassionate Roots did it. We have butterflies everywhere!

In a 5-minute walk through our garden, you are guaranteed to see at least four or more butterflies dancing among our flowers. (These are cell-phone pictures.)

There are only a few weeks left to enjoy their beauty, and we want to offer an opportunity for wildlife and aspiring photographers to enjoy our ecosystem. Please email mary@compassionateroots.com if you would like to come photograph. This would be a great opportunity for teens and students that enjoy photography and nature.

Aren't these pressed flower lanterns adorable! 😍 🌼🌸🌿

Come make one with us on September 13th.

We did a trial run of making the lanterns, and it went great! My client and I were so happy with how they turned out, especially since neither of us had done it before. It's one of those crafts that leaves you feeling proud👏

We'll have all the supplies you need—including the twinkle lights🎨✨️

Just bring yourself and a friend!

Can't wait to see you there.

A few weeks ago, the Compassionate Roots garden exploded with colors, and we set up our first Bouquet Bar in the waiting area.

Next time you're at Compassionate Roots, please grab a bouquet. We have pre-made designs as well as plenty of single stems if you would like to create your own.

If you're in the mood, grab the scissors and twine and head out to our garden to cut your own set of flowers. We have a large assortment of sunflowers, zinnias, dahlias, roses, lavender, cosmos, hydrangeas, and so much more.

We really do mean it, too. These bouquets are for YOU, and we want you to leave therapy feeling hopeful and inspired by nature's beauty. 🌈💐🌻⚘️

We are so excited to introduce Michael (Mikey), our first therapy intern at Compassionate Roots.

We have long aspired to welcome master's-level clinical interns, as we firmly believe in supporting the mental health field and nurturing future therapists to carry on the vital and rewarding work of mental health counseling. We also understand that access to mental health care can be challenging for many due to financial and social obstacles, and having Michael allows us to provide high-quality ecotherapy services at a reduced rate. Furthermore, Michael offers virtual sessions and can support individuals across Indiana. He is eager to work with clients and practice ecotherapy on-site, enabling us to continue sharing the beauty and profound connection between humans and nature.

For more information about Michael, please see his bio at www.compassionateroots.com
