Have you ever heard the mantra “one day at a time” or “just for today”? These simple words have carried countless people through recovery. They remind us that we don’t have to conquer the whole future at once, just today.

For many of us, that focus has been life-saving. One day at a time keeps us from being crushed by regret from the past or fear of the future. It gives us the strength to stay sober right now.

But recovery doesn’t end there. As we grow, something new begins to happen: we start to look forward again. We rediscover hope. We begin to dream about what tomorrow could hold. True recovery doesn’t just keep us in the present—it also opens our eyes to a future worth walking toward.

Tonight we’ll talk honestly about exactly that: the power of living just for today with the future in mind.

Many in recovery know the stress of stretching every paycheck which can lead to second-guessing their sobriety.

Others know the stress of a financial setback that shakes stability, which can lead to second-guessing if God is truly good.

Meet Robin, a member of Northlands Church for almost 15 years.

Several years ago, Robin faced her own setback that left her stunned, and she began to seek out what the Lord had to say about prosperity, provision, and true riches.

He showed her how much of a Provider He is and opened her eyes to principles of money management that bring peace and blessings
