We have an urgent need for some donor milk for one of my clients. This is a temporary need while we solve a weight gain issue so a small stash would be helpful. Thanks in advance if you’re able to help. Obviously all the crunchy requests for no vax or meds. Baby seems to be somewhat sensitive to spicy food but no other known allergies. Open to all help, if it comes down to it.

In a world overflowing with apps, schedules, trackers, and advice from every corner, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is *return to the basics.*

Breastfeeding is not a performance—it's a relationship. It's not about ounces and minutes—it's about connection, rhythm, and trust. Your baby is not a clock, and your body is not a machine. You are a *dyad*, perfectly designed to respond to each other in real time.

Let’s take a breath and remember:

🤱🏽 *Breastfeeding is instinctive.* Babies are born with the reflexes to find the breast, root, and latch. Sometimes they just need time and patience to figure it out.

🫶🏽 *Your body knows what it’s doing.* Supply rises to meet demand. The more your baby nurses, the more milk you make. Skin-to-skin isn’t just sweet—it’s biologically essential.

🌙 *There’s no such thing as “spoiling” a baby with comfort nursing.* You are their home. Feeding is food *and* love. Nutrition *and* regulation.

🧘🏽‍♀️ *You don’t need to do it perfectly.* You just need to respond. Watch your baby, not the clock. Let go of pressure. Ask for help when you need it.

Breastfeeding isn’t about rigid rules—it’s about tuning in, slowing down, and trusting the ancient wisdom written into your body and your baby’s.

Back to basics. Back to heart. Back to what was always meant to be simple and sacred.

April is Cesarean Awareness Month!

Join ICAN of Summit County for a special event with VBAC- certified, birth doula, passionate birth advocate, and author Jaimie Schrock.

Jaimie is an experienced birth and bereavement doula, birth advocate, and author of the book, "Brave Beautiful Birth :Trusting God through VBAC" , which chronicles her journey to the healing, life-changing unmedicated VBA3C birth of her 4th child. When not serving as a doula, Jaimie works with her husband and their business, Schrock Custom Homes, and also homeschools her five children. We are so excited to have Jaimie join us to share her inspiring story of determination, courage, and overcoming obstacles and fears to experience an empowering and healing birth.

We are so grateful to Jaimie to be able to raffle off 2 copies of her book to the group! We hope to see you next week and as always, everyone is welcome (history of a C-section isn't required to join). We gladly welcome anyone planning to become pregnant, currently pregnant, and postpartum women in need of support.
