Heart disease can affect any of us and we can’t let social or cultural expectations stand in the way of our care. 💔

This week, our founder Hyvelle joins global advocates at the Unite Summit with Global Heart Hub, lending her voice to ensure that the perspectives and experiences of women of color are fully represented.

For far too long, women of color have faced disproportionate barriers in heart health from delayed diagnoses to unequal access to care. But together, we are changing the narrative.

At Heart Sistas, we’re proud to stand alongside partners like Global Heart Hub, the World Heart Federation, and WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease to amplify awareness, push for inclusion, and advocate for equitable care for all.

Representation isn’t just important! It’s life-saving. 💪🏾❤️

Every 3 seconds, someone in the world experiences a stroke!That’s over12 million people each year.

Even more alarming: the risk of long-term disability quadruples for those who experience a recurrent stroke. That’s why is advocating for awareness in secondary stroke prevention because secondary stroke deserves another look.

Our mission is rooted in serving underserved communities, where we continue to educate, empower, and advocate for heart and brain health.

🧠💔 World Stroke Day
I say because it’s personal for you and for me. Every second matters when it comes to a stroke, and listening to the warning signs can save a life.

Did you know that someone in the world suffers a stroke every 3 seconds?
That’s over 12 million people each year! It’s a powerful reminder that stroke has no respect for age, gender, or background.

Stroke recurrence isn’t just another event, it can lead to severe and lasting consequences. The risk of long-term disability quadruples in patients who experience recurrence compared to those who don’t.

That’s why I’m proud to collaborate with Bayer | Pharmaceuticals , a company using real people with real stories to amplify the message that secondary stroke deserves another look.

As a survivor, advocate, and woman of purpose, I know firsthand why awareness and access matter because our lives depend on it.

Let’s continue to fight for prevention, equity, and hope.
because one stroke is already too many.
