• Limit outdoor activities at dusk and dawn
• Eliminate standing water where possible. Mosquitos breed in stagnant or standing water
• Consider natural deterrents such as citronella candles, outdoor fans and mosquito-repelling plants like lavender, basil, mint and marigolds

Employees from our Wellness Center and the Great Lakes Integrated Network spent the day educating the community about therapy options for cancer survivors while having some fun outdoors.

With temperatures rising during the month of July, the chance for heat related emergencies becomes greater. High body temperatures, headaches, dizziness, cramps, nausea or confusion could be signs of a more serious problem such as heat exhaustion or stroke. Here are some tips to help you stay safe.
* Move the affected person inside or to a cooler air-conditioned area.
* Loosen clothing.
* Use cold, wet cloths on your body or take a cool bath
* Sip water while resting
* If the condition seems extreme and you are not sure, call your local emergency number or 911.

It was a beautiful day to get out and beautify the grounds at DeGraff Medical Park, DeGraff Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility and the DeGraff Wellness Center. Employees and leadership got to enjoy some fresh air and sun while planting the flowers generously donated by Donald Spoth Farm and Greenhouse.
