I have multiple family members affected by VCP disease, whether it be by having the active disease, the mutated gene, or being a care partner. Over the last few years, Cure VCP Disease has made great strides in research as we move swiftly towards a cure.

It's unbelievable, how fast this community of patients and top researchers from around the world has come together for a common cause.

Unfortunately, in recent months, there have been large sweeping cuts in funding for research of many life threatening diseases, and the labs working on curing VCP disease are not immune to these cuts.

Now, more than ever, we need your help. I need your help.

Starting today, I am participating in this I CAN MOVEment. I am committing to going to planet fitness everyday and moving my body in honor of those who cannot move theirs.

This is a fundraiser for Cure VCP Disease, to help us get closer to a cure. This disease has taken away the lives of my close family members. It’s a neurodegenerative disease which eats away at muscle function and can cause frontotemporal dementia (FTD). My family member has both, and it’s devastating. Please help us raise funds so we can complete the projects we need to show the FDA results they will need to approve a treatment or cure. Please help me save my own family as well as countless other beautiful families who deserve a better life. Thank you!

It’s that time of year again. The Cure VCP Disease I CAN MOVEment virtual move-a-thon will be under way June 23-29.

We continue to raise funds so we can complete the necessary lab projects that will push us closer to a cure. The organization has made HUGE strides in gathering researchers and scientists from around the work to form a cohesive group and work together to find a cure.

But we need to complete projects in order to ultimately show the FDA results. Those projects need money, and our biggest source of raising necessary funds is through the generosity of our friends and family who care about our families.

Please help put a stop to the dreadful disease that affects my family and countless others. We need your help now more than ever as we get closer to a cure.
