This is personal. In my 20’s I began to experience unexplained pain, severe nerve pinching, muscle soreness, joint aching and recurring discomfort around the entire spine. While I was still functioning ok most of the time, occasionally I wasn’t. Over a period of years with increasing pain issues, numbness and more, I came to learn more about pain through scientific research, self study and experimentation. I was able to apply the tools of yoga and yoga therapy for healing and understanding around this issue. This knowledge has brought me freedom from suffering from pain.
This is not a class where a magical pose will be suggested and all your pain will go away. That’s not how it worked for me and that’s not how it works for most people. Pain is a beautifully complicated topic. There are many variables and this upcoming 6 week series will explore them. Pain science, yoga philosophy, breath, movement, meditation, self-study, and sharing.
