National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of communities working together to help identify and prevent child maltreatment. The month is signified by the color blue so you may see our colleagues in blue on Friday and blue pinwheels on our campus to raise awareness of this important issue.

We had an amazing day recently at East St. Louis School District 189 meeting future caregivers for a career development presentation. Emergency Department Director Erin H. met with students and shared the many workforce paths and possibilities for a rewarding career in clinical and non-clinical roles in a hospital system. The future looks bright!

HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital is now accepting applications for the Summer 2026 Nursing Internship. Join our experienced nurses for a four-week internship where you will gain practical work experience in an environment that emphasizes patient-centered care.

The internship is open to students currently in an accredited ADN, BSN or MSN program, or recently graduated with an ADN or BSN.
