Influencers are influencing more than they should

Should people without credentials be able to speak on serious topics like medicine, law, education, and finance?

Too many “experts” online spread advice that can harm, mislead, or confuse, and people still listen. That’s the real danger. We should NOT need a law to remind people that not every opinion equals expertise… but maybe it’s time to ask if we do.

Should the U.S. follow China’s lead and require proof of qualification before posting on these topics (medicine, law, education, and finance)??

It’s one thing to have a professional discussion, but it’s another to make a career out of tearing others down. Watching providers build a platform by criticizing providers|injectors, celebrities, patients isn’t education, it’s bullying disguised as “truth.”

Focus on education, safety, and empowering patients|people to feel confident in their own skin, not on chasing likes by belittling others; it reflects better on our profession. Do better!
God Bless🙏🏻💕

PDGF injections not FDA approved

📌 Medical Professionals:
STOP taking cues from “injector influencers” promoting unapproved injectables.

📌 Patients:
STOP letting “influencers” tell you who to trust with your face and/or what treatments are best.

“now that the smoke is clearing from
the PDGF-injectable debate and the majority of providers are now informed on the immense legal and professional risks associated with this practice, WHAT NOW? What do I tell the patients who are reaching out to me with complications? If you’ve injected this product, what do you tell the patients you’ve injected now that you’ve stopped?
Without any research protocols, or even any understanding whatsoever of the nature of these varied complications, how do we go about treating them? Is it worth tackling these cases that come to you from other injectors? What have we learned?
Where are .purepdgf public statements and guidance? How can we do better the next time a risky new trend comes up in regenerative medicine (and they will)? Go to AAFElegal.com to register for the free (and last) webinar I’ll be participating in over this topic, with Dr. Louis Malcmacher— one of the shrewdest aesthetic business minds l’ve come across.“

INFLUENCERS ARE NOT EXPERTS

I’m honestly so sick of influencers with zero credibility pushing providers because they’re friends, got paid, or scored a free treatment. I literally watched a Chicago “influencer” bounce around to four different injectors, each time saying, “These are the BEST lips I’ve ever had, you HAVE to go here.”

That’s not expertise babe, that’s marketing.

And it’s not just injectors. I’ve had patients ask me for a trusted surgeon, and when I recommend someone solid, the first question is, “What’s their social media?” If the answer is none, suddenly they’re “not good.” Meanwhile, a surgeon with a large following because of his/her silliness on social media is somehow considered credible. Personally? I don’t care if my surgeon is funny. I don’t care if he’s a d!ck. I care that he/she does excellent, safe work. Period.

♥︎💉
Not All Needles Are Equal. Safety is priceless✨

I’ve been a nurse for almost 30 years—23 of those in the ICU. While working in critical care, I discovered aesthetics, and my passion quickly grew. As my injector practice took off, I eventually had to choose between hospital nursing and aesthetics. I made the decision to leave the hospital behind and dedicate myself fully to aesthetic nursing. I’ve now been an aesthetic nurse injector for 15 years.

The reality is that this market has become oversaturated with injectors—many of whom are very new, undertrained, or unsafe. I’ve seen a significant rise in patients coming to me for corrections after filler or neurotoxin treatments that went wrong elsewhere or simply left them unhappy with their results.

This is why choosing an injector should NEVER be based on the lowest price tag, the biggest social media following, or the recommendation of a paid “influencer.” Experience, safety, and medical expertise truly matter—and those things can’t be replaced by discounts or popularity.

If you’re new, welcome! If you’ve been here for years, thank you for trusting me with your beautiful face (literally) ❤️

Safety is priceless!!

Non surgical nose job

⚠️This treatment should only be done by a skilled and experienced medical professional. This is a risky area to treat because of the nearby blood vessels and sensitive structures, which can lead to complications if not handled carefully.

Small injections of hyaluronic acid filler are used to add volume and reshape the area to improve its appearance.

The process involves precise placement of the filler to achieve the desired shape.
Because the area is delicate and sensitive, careful technique is essential to avoid complications.

The results are temporary, and touch-up treatments may be needed to maintain the effect every 8 months to a year.
