The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

**UPDATE TO FLU VACCINES**

Great news....NHCOH received all doses of flu vaccine, now available for all eligible beneficiaries ages 6 months and older.

Active-duty members will receive flu vaccinations through their commands. Squadrons will receive through their Flight Surgeons and AVM Med Techs. Shore commands will be offered flu vaccine Oct 22 - 24 at the Officer's Club, more information to follow.

We also have a limited supply of the high dose flu vaccine for people 65 years and older. The CDC highly encourages people 65 years and older to receive the high dose vaccine. The vaccine is available through the Immunizations Clinic.

All age-appropriate flu vaccines are available through the Immunizations Clinic.

Staff and command leadership look on as the colors are raised at Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2025 in honor of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. The ceremony marked the 24th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives and changed the course of American history. The observance honored the victims, survivors and first responders, while reaffirming the clinic’s commitment to service and resilience.
