Okay but can we just take a moment for the ✨checker era✨ because I am OBSESSED 😍

Packing up a few badge buddies from last week’s orders and you already know I had to show all the styles — we’ve got the extended horizontal, the regular horizontal, AND the vertical 💅🏼 literally a checker dream lineup. There’s just something about this pattern that never gets old… clean, bold, a little retro, and somehow goes with everything 👏🏼

And don’t even get me started on the packaging 😭 because if we’re doing checkers, we’re doing it ALL the way. Watching everything come together with the matching checker wrap?? So satisfying. It’s giving attention to detail, it’s giving ✨tiny happy mail magic✨, it’s giving “I don’t want to open it because it’s too cute” energy.

I swear, making these never gets boring. Every order feels like its own little vibe, and seeing them all wrapped up and ready to go makes me so happy 🫶🏼

OMG you guys… the BIG BERTHA BOX from | MelaninCraftingCo just got delivered and when I tell you this package is HUGE… I mean HUGE 😱📦 like I was not prepared for the size of this thing at all!! As y’all know, I’m human first, business owner second — and sometimes that means I make mistakes 🤦🏽‍♀️ This morning at the crack of dawn, I realized I accidentally marked some orders as shipping Saturday instead of Monday. Yeah… not my finest moment 😅 But instead of letting that sit, I got up and made sure everything was handled so your packages still make it to the post office on time.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes reminder of how I run things: I don’t create a shipping label until your order is completely ready to go out the door on the actual ship date. That way, I’m not printing labels early and leaving y’all wondering where your package is. Once it’s dropped off, it’s officially in the carrier’s hands — and while I always get a receipt for proof, I don’t control how fast it updates in the system.

Good morning, everyone ☀️

Ever wonder what it actually looks like trying to balance being a small business owner and still showing up for your family? It is not always glamorous, and it definitely is not always perfectly put together. This is real life. I wake up extra early before the rest of the house gets moving, take a quick shower, and yes my hair is still wet half the time. No full glam, no perfect setup, just me doing what needs to be done.

The first thing I always do is clean up my space and reset everything. That reset matters more than people realize. It helps me clear my mind and get ready to focus. What you are seeing here is just five minutes sped up, but in reality it takes me about thirty minutes every single morning to get myself organized and grounded before I start working.

It is not perfect, but it is consistent. And right now, consistency is what keeps everything moving forward.
