If dermaplaning made hair grow back thicker… we promise we would not be doing it. 👀
Dermaplaning removes vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz. That hair is naturally soft and fine. The treatment does not change your follicles, your hormones, or your hair growth pattern.
When it grows back, it can feel a little different because the tip is blunt instead of tapered. That texture shift can feel “coarser,” but it is not darker, thicker, or stronger. Your biology did not suddenly change.
What dermaplaning actually does is smooth texture, remove dead skin buildup, help products absorb better, and make makeup sit beautifully on the skin ✨
