At , our event, The Funders Shaping Democracy, AI & Media, gathered funders, technologists, and media leaders to explore how we can strengthen democracy in an era of growing fascism.

We shared insights from our Responsible AI funding cycle, mapping where funding is flowing, who’s leading in different sectors, and how innovation is showing up.

The takeaway: strengthening our democracy will require funders bold enough to experiment, collaborate, and imagine new media and tech infrastructure for our collective future.

We loved seeing Jess on a panel at Chief x Mentorship Night! The panel was moderated by Chelsea Larsuel, where Jess, along with Sophie Taitt, Lynn Casey, Nicole Anderson, and Megan Vixie, reflected on the mentors who shaped their journeys and the role mentorship plays in their leadership today. After the panel, Chief members participated in a speed mentorship session, sharing advice, encouragement, and connection with young women at pivotal moments in their careers.
