Preparing to share my story before members of Congress tomorrow as part of Lyme Advocacy Day. I'll have 2 minutes with 4 legislators during which I need to convey what life with Lyme was like. What would YOU say if you were given the opportunity?
Pray that my peers and I can persuade Congress to allocate funds for research, testing, awareness. Lyme is woefully underfunded.

Chronically fatigued? "Nearly half of chronic fatigue patients in a pilot study tested positive for Bartonella or Babesia bacterial infections, according to a new study in Pathogens. All the participants had experienced fatigue and at least one neurological problem lasting between six months and 10 years. Out of 50 participants from across the United States and Mexico, 23 people had one or both of the infections. Most of the infected people were from the southeastern or midwestern United States. Both Bartonella and Babesia infections are primarily transmitted by ticks but can also spread through scratches and bites from larger animals such as cats or dogs. While the study’s sample size was small, it suggests a correlation between such infections and chronic fatigue." WORLD.
I had babesia for years. It's like malaria. Had to take anti-parasitic meds. Ugh.
