Are you—or someone you know—turning 18 on or before Election Day, November 3, 2026 this year?

17-year-olds can register to vote now and vote in Ohio's 2026 spring primary. As long as the registered 17-year-old will be 18 by Election Day, they can vote for the same things as everyone else, minus issues and party central committee candidates.

Youth voices matter more than ever. Be sure to register by April 6 to be heard in the primary—go to VOTE411 to register and get all the info you need to make a voting plan this year.

Start making your voting plan for the spring primary! Here are the important election dates to put in your calendar:
⏳April 6: Last day to register to vote or to update your voter registration- check now to make sure it's up to date
🗳April 7: Early Voting starts in Ohio- this is also when absentee ballots start getting mailed out if you request early
⏳April 28: Last day to request your absentee ballot
🗳May 5: Election Day!
