Emotional Body Mapping
Emotional Body Mapping helps us explore the ways emotions live and linger within the body. Each area of the body can hold memories, stress, and energy from past experiences—sometimes showing up as tension, fatigue, or discomfort.
By bringing awareness to these patterns, we begin to understand the deeper messages our bodies are sharing with us. In our sessions together, we can gently work with these areas through mindful touch, energy work, and breath to help release what no longer serves you and create space for balance and ease.
Over the next several months, I’ll be sharing more about different areas of the body—the muscles, emotional patterns, and energy centers—and how we can map these areas to better understand the connection between our physical and emotional well-being.

✨ Heart Chakra • Trapezius Connection
The trapezius muscles sweep across the upper back and shoulders — a place where many of us unconsciously store tension. Linked to the Heart Chakra, this area often becomes a holding ground for the emotions we struggle to carry.
When the trapezius is burdened, it may show up as:
🌿 Stress — constant pressure, “fight or flight” activation, or overwhelm
🌿 Anxiety — worry, fear of the future, shallow breathing, restlessness
🌿 Unexpressed anger — swallowed frustration, suppressed resentment, inner turmoil
🌿 Fatigue — mental, emotional, or physical exhaustion that lingers
On a deeper level, heart chakra imbalances can manifest as:
✨ Emotional: anger, jealousy, resentment, or emotional detachment
✨ Physical: tight shoulders (shoulder up to ears), shallow breath, chest discomfort, or fatigue
✨ Psychological: difficulty with compassion, forgiveness, and self-acceptance
💫 The trapezius is like a shield we wear every day. When we soften this space through massage, Reiki, breathwork, or mindful rest, the body remembers how to let go. The shoulders can drop away from our ears, the breath deepens, and the heart has room to open again.
