Protein-rich plasma is most commonly referring to Platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) — a regenerative treatment made from your own blood.

What It Is:

A small amount of your blood is drawn, spun in a centrifuge, and the platelet-rich portion (which contains growth factors and healing proteins) is separated and injected back into targeted areas.

Platelets are full of:
