⭐ Fun Fact: When you slice a starfruit, each piece is shaped like a perfect little five-pointed star! How neat is that? You can eat the whole thing—skin and all! 😋

The Early Childhood Center kitchen is the heart of nutrition for our youngest and oldest students across the district! Everyday, it’s fueling our district campus preschoolers and our amazing Adult Transition students!

The Transition students had some great options: a quick grab-and-go sandwich 🥪 or a delicious calzone with hot veggies 🥦🍅! Everything is made right here on the district campus.

Get ready for some delicious and healthy snacking! This week, our Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is bringing you two super cool and tasty treats! 🤩

Kumquats! 🍊🧡

These little guys look like tiny oranges, but you can eat the whole thing—skin and all! They have a unique sweet and tart flavor!

🤯 Kumquats are known as “golden oranges” in Chinese! They are the only citrus fruit you can eat whole, peel and all. The peel is actually the sweetest part! 🍬

Lemonade Apples! 💛🍏

Don’t let the name fool you—they’re not soaked in lemonade! This bright yellow apple variety has a sweet-tart flavor and a super crisp, juicy crunch!

🗺️ Lemonade Apples were first grown in New Zealand! They are a natural cross between a Royal Gala apple and a Braeburn apple, which gives them their refreshing taste. 🥝

Fueling up the Scots is serious business, and our cafeteria definitely delivers! Forget the same old routine—lunch at Ben Lomond High School is all about choices, choices, and more choices! 😍

Today’s main line special was delicious Sweet and Sour Chicken, but that’s just the start. If you’re looking for something different, we’ve got you covered! You can customize a fresh creation at the Baked Potato/Salad Bar, grab a slice from the amazing varieties of pizza, or choose from a selection of tasty hot and cold sandwiches. Happy Thanksgiving!! Today, we are grateful for our cafeteria workers and all the efforts they put into ensuring our students are fed and healthy. Their Thanksgiving meal was fantastic, and everyone in the school came to take part!
