Okeene Municipal Hospital is proud to host a Dementia Education Class to help raise awareness and understanding for those living with dementia and their care partners.

This free training is open to the public and will provide valuable information on:
✅ What dementia is and common signs to look for
✅ Tips for communicating and interacting with those living with dementia
✅ How to create a dementia-friendly home or workspace
✅ Ways to better support families and caregivers

🕙 Class Times: 10:00 AM • 1:00 PM • 3:00 PM
(Each class lasts about 60 minutes — attend whichever time works best for you!)

Whether you’re a caregiver, family member, healthcare worker, or simply want to learn more, this class is a great opportunity to gain knowledge, compassion, and confidence in supporting those affected by dementia.

Get to know Caroline,
-How did you become interested in the medical field? "I became set on the PA profession in middle school. I had always been interested in the healthcare field, but I was drawn to it because of the extra time that PAs get to help and build relationships with patients. This desire was affirmed through my personal experiences with PAs volunteering, shadowing, and working in healthcare settings."
-What area of the medical field do you plan on pursuing? -"Emergency Medicine or GI"
-When you are not studying, what are your hobbies or interests? -"Reading, spending time with friends and family, and exercising."
