At KVC Kansas, we work to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.

KVC provides family strengthening services, foster care case management, foster family recruitment/support, adoption, outpatient mental and behavioral healthcare and much more. Our vision is a world in which every person is safe and connected to a strong family and a healthy community. At KVC, we know "children can’t wait," and we've helped Kansas achieve national leadership in child welfare standards set by the federal Children and Family Service review; outcomes that ensure child safety, permanency and wellbeing.

💙 Social Worker Spotlight: Courtney

Some people help move the work forward quietly, building systems, sharing knowledge and making things easier for everyone around them. Courtney is one of those people!

Courtney has been part of the KVC Kansas team since her college student days. Over the years, she’s helped shape the family finding role into what it is today, giving fellow team members a strong starting point when working to connect children in care with relatives.

Her calm demeanor and thoughtful approach make her a steady presence in meetings, on calls and in conversations with families and partners. Simply put: Courtney is rockstar on the Kinship team! ⭐️

Some teammates just have a way of showing up when it matters.

Team Spotlight: SUD Team ⭐️

Energy? ✔️ Compassion? Absolutely. Commitment to helping people succeed? Every single day!

When asked why they should be nominated, the answer was simple: “Because we have a great energetic team.” But the real heart of this team shows up in the moments that matter most.

The SUD team supports individuals through substance use counseling and peer mentoring, walking beside people as they take some of the hardest steps toward their recovery journey. The moments that mean the most are when someone reaches a milestone in recovery. As the team shared, “Seeing a successful discharge.”

Behind that moment are countless hours of support, encouragement and belief that change is possible.
