Christmas Tarot Spread using Yuletide Tarot deck

1. Magic of the season-Page of Canes-This is a time to let our logic and rationality respond to everyday life. We must have the courage and bravery to face the day’s stresses head on. We must be daring. We tend to start something but not follow it through to the end. We try to fit it, but we find it awkward especially in social situations. So, now is the time to set boundaries, call our energy back and recharge our batteries. We need to stop the inner critic that talks deep in our minds. It is noise and distraction stopping us from moving forward.

2. Reflections- The Sun-Let the reflected light of the Sun to find our own inherent radiance and shine brightly. We can do this when we embrace our own power and light. Reflect on the blessings we have, and the things we have to be grateful for. We need to find our joy, vitality, and hope. Enlightenment awaits us when we embrace the Sun’s message. The darkness is shrinking and the light is returning. This is the meaning of Yule. We need to celebrate the new dawn and find ways to express our light. We must strive for contentment and happiness. Take time to enjoy the journey of our lives. Now is the time for us to make decisions on how we want to start living. We must not let anyone dim our light or try to stop our progress.

3. Lessons learned from the past year- Queen of good cheer and Queen of gifts. Queen of good cheer is about embracing our intuitive gifts. We must find ways to have a good laugh at ourselves. We tend to take things too seriously. We need to loosen up a bit. We need to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and express our emotions. We also need to look at whether we are being too sensitive or needy. Queen of Gifts is a protective energy. When we make the decisions of the Sun card, we need to be practical and pragmatic. We must protect our energy. We also must learn to nurture and love ourselves. We can be so generous with others and rarely with ourselves. This is the time to change how we treat ourselves, care for ourselves and love ourselves.

4. Changes within the Snow-9 of Good Cheer- This card brings successes, rewards of hard work paying off. It is the abundance that we manifested. Like the Sun card earlier, 9 of Good cheer asks us to find our joy and find our happiness. We have much to celebrate. We need to find those things to be grateful for and the universe will then provide us with more. Our cups are overflowing. This suggests fulfillment and success in what we are setting in motion. Bask in the glory and be content in the present moment. Contentment was also seen in the Sun card. Happiness can be fleeting so grab the joy and celebrate when you can. Today is the day. We need to be grateful and thankful for what is happening and what is coming in.

5. Message from the ancestors-5 of Good Cheer- This card represents sadness, loss, grief, and despair of broken cups. The holidays are a time to celebrate but it is also a time when many of us think about who isn’t here anymore, what we no longer have, or what we have had to let go of. The message from the ancestors is that even though they are no longer here physically, that doesn’t mean they aren’t still here. We keep them alive in our hearts and in our traditions. We keep them alive when we laugh at the good memories and shed tears over the sad ones. The message from the ancestors is to not focus on what is no longer there but what we have around us. There is hope here. There is love here. That is what our ancestors are telling us is most important. Do not be overwhelmed. Do not lose our ability to love and to give. We are resilient. We need to stop focusing on the spilled or broken cups and look at the cups that remain. We have cups overflowing; Queen, 9, and 5 of good cheer. We need to focus on what remains.

6. Gratitude meditation- Knight of Gifts and Sinterklaas (Hierophant). Focus on the practical (Queen of Gifts.) We must learn to be comfortable with ourselves, with our surroundings and with our life. We tend to be predictable. This is not about risk taking or rocking the boat, but it is time to make some moves, set intentions and get creating the future we want. This is about our intuitive self (Queen of Good Cheer), our observations skills, and learning to trust ourselves to make the right decisions. We see what others don’t because we use all our physical and all our spiritual senses. We just need to trust our intuition. We need to find ways to go within and inspire ourselves, shape our reality and lay down plans for the future. We are ever evolving. There are subtle forces working behind the scenes (ancestors). Sinterklaas emanates wisdom, justice, and righteousness wrapped up in mystery. We are asked to follow this teacher. We are asked once again to make a decision taking in all factors. We need to align with our virtues and use our inherent wisdom. Trust our own insight and intelligence to guide us to our ideals so we can evolve. This is our teachable moment. What we do now has value. What we learn now will help guide us further. It starts with listening to ourselves and acting in accordance with our values, dreams, and desires. Let the new dawn (new year) bring you new blessings, inspirations, and many things to be grateful for. We need to let go of the things that no longer fit into our lives. The New Year is the new us.

Yule Reading- Free, general collective reading 12/21/25
1. Cardinal Medicine-Partnership, honoring the sacred self. Cardinals represent devotion and loyalty. Partnership and unity. Cardinals also represent passed loved ones. It is a sign of a loving relationship. Be open-minded when it comes to our closest relationships and the people who mean the most to us. Cardinals mate for life. It is also a reminder not to lose ourselves. Be a part of a whole rather than losing ourselves. Always remember we are unique, and it is this uniqueness that makes us, us. It is empowerment.

2. Mother Mary-Mother, nurturing energy, wisdom. We are being guided to seek wisdom in the divine powers that be. What we call this may be different, but it is all the same. What is important is to know that we can call upon these powers when we need it. The universe provides a whole spirit team for each of us. It guides us when we are lost or stuck. We need to find peace and to nurture ourselves. We must all trust the process. We must be still and let the universe support.

3. Wreath-eternity, growth, symbol of circle. Life comes in ebbs and flows of good and bad. This card represents the wheel of life. Circles are a perfect representation of the wheel. Dark times ahead will not last long. Good fortune will return. Rough patches happen. This is a turning point. We must remember we are what we attract. We must keep a positive attitude.

4. Snow-softness, patience, allowing. This card is reflected of purity and blessings. Everything looks cleaner and brighter. Since snow is of the water element, it has the power to heal. Allow healing to happen slowly and naturally. Operating from a place of force is when mistakes happen or cause more obstacles to happen. Snow reminds us that force breaks more than it creates. We must be gentle and trust all will be revealed in time.

5. Wise men-intellect, power, conviction. Wise men like Mother Mary, offer guidance and wisdom. Wise men focus on intellect and logic rather than emotion or the heart. We must find clarity of mind to navigate the situation ahead. Do not allow emotions to color our judgment. We must be decisive and take control of our situations. We must step up and lead.

6. Self-Care-Balance, priorities. Taking time for self-care. There are many ways to embrace self-care. We may need to spend more time with family and loved ones. We are being called to get creative about how we practice self-love. We must open ourselves up. We must take the time to see what areas of our lives we have been neglecting. Do not take people, connections and situations for granted, nothing is forever. These can all slip by if we are not paying attention or if we are still neglecting. This includes ourselves.
