Was gifted (from Mary) a car load of rug hooking materials. Lots and lots of Woolrich wool. I am so grateful.🧶🧵🧶🪡🧵🎨

Chai Tea Class
Chai Recipe if you want to mix your own.

1/2 cup Organic Black Assam Tea
1/4 tsp. anise seed
1/8 tsp. cardamom
1/8-1/4 tsp. black peppercorn
2 crumbled bay leaves
Cinnamon to taste
Nutmeg to taste

Simmer 1 heaping tsp. of the above mix in 1 cup of milk. Cover and steep for 10 minutes, then strain and sweeten to your liking. I prefer using honey to sweeten.

Last night we began with Part 1 of 2 Rug Hooking classes to create one-of-a-kind Lavender 🌿 pillows. Thank you everyone for braving the cold! I am dreaming Spring.🪻

🧶🧶⭐⭐Friday will be the first of 2 RUG HOOKING classes. We will be making a Lavender pillow with a hooked rug base. You will be learning how to make a pattern, stitch a simple edge, use a rug hooking tool, sew a backing and adorn with lavender. For this particular project, we will be using a variety of beautiful yarns. Class dates 1/30 & 2/12 both classes are 6-8pm. (There is a makeup date later in February if need be).

Price $60 per person. THERE ARE A FEW SPOTS LEFT!!

We were able to get class in yesterday before all this snow!❄️❄️
Grateful for the ladies who came out! We sipped on delicious handmade chai tea, created beautiful tea tins (should have taken up close pics🤔), shared some sweet treats and chatted. I really wanted my space to not only be educational but a community for like-minded people.

I am having Chai Class Again, next Sunda Feb. 1st, at 2pm. There are a few spots left!

Feeling grateful, recently finished my PhD in Herbal Medicine 🌿, with a concentration in Aromatherapy.✨️ This has been a goal of mine for a long time! I told the kids they have to call me Dr. Mom😊

Pre-registration is open for my 6-month FORAGING HERBALIST PROGRAM!
It begins April 11th- and the last walk will be October 17th.

Herbs walks will be scheduled at various locations throughout Berks County, some public spaces like Blue Marsh, and Bloom Farm, but most will be my favorite, secret wild places.

I will allow students to join throughout the year, but those who sign up beginning in APRIL have the chance to earn my Foraging Herbalist Certificate awarded by Sheep Hill Herbs, and Master Herbalist (myself). 7 of the 8 classes need to be attended to receive the certificate, as well as a foraging art journal handed in for credit.

🎨The art journal will be a beautiful work of art containing drawings, pictures, notes, and descriptions of plants identified, as well as their uses, Latin names, and locations.

The program also includes a private Facebook group to share photos and ask for help identifying plants when you are on your own.
