Unfortunately we are having to close today, August 9th at 5:00 pm, due to our air conditioner being out. We will be back in the pharmacy Saturday, August 10th at 9:00 am until 3:00 pm! We apologize for any inconvenience that this has created.

Hey Everyone !

You may already be aware but we had to close Friday, May 10th and will be closed Saturday, May 11th due to me being out of state for the birth of our first grandchild. I anticipated coverage for the store but the timing did not work out as planned. I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences that the lack of staffing has created. We will reopen Monday, May 13th regular hours. We are attempting to handle any emergencies that may arise the best we can and again I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Hey everyone!

We will be closing at 3:00 pm and will post either later tonight or early tomorrow morning about our store hours for the next few days.

Unfortunately with the unsafe driving conditions it has left us short staffed so we will not be offering delivery at this time. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.

Happy Monday to all of our GetWell customers!

We will be closed today (1/15) due to the heavy snow fall and icy roads.

As the day goes on we’ll make our decision on whether or not we will be reopening tomorrow. Keep an eye out as we will be posting updates later today!

Hi everyone!!
Some of you may know me as Caroline & others may know me as “Oh Rick’s daughter!” I respond to both! I have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people through this pharmacy & now i’m asking for your help. If you’ve ever spoken to me for more than 5 minutes you’ve been told about my dogs & even shown pictures … even if you didn’t ask… On 8/23 I saw a post about a dog who was under a year old brought into a shelter & by 8/25 he was sat to be euthanized. Immediately I texted my friends & within minutes they had a commitment for him. With only minutes left New Beginnings Animal Rescue saved his life without hesitation. The shelter claimed he tried biting anyone who came in contact with him & was a lost cause. Come to find out he had been ran over & brought to them for help. But they did just the opposite. He was left in a cage, covered in his own urine, with open wounds/tire marks on him. We found his pain medication at the bottom of his cage. Not a single person monitored him to make sure he was taking it, which resulted in agonizing pain & infection to form on his leg. Snow was yet again let down by the people who promised to keep him safe. On 8/28 we were able to pick him up. As soon as we got him in my car & that door closed we saw his tail wag for the first time. It’s as if he knew he was finally safe! Slowly he started giving out kisses & showing us his amazing and loving personality. We got him to the vet & got his x rays done. He has a shattered pelvis & 2 other breaks. He will need extensive & expensive surgery but the doctors have so much confidence in the procedure & in him! This boy has so much fight & will to get better! If you could please donate to the link tagged below & we will be accepting donations in the store! We are estimating it to be $3,000-$4,000 but will update when we know more! Let’s give Snow a chance to be a puppy!

As part of Women’s History Month, we would like to showcase another notable female figure in pharmacy. Mary Munson Runge broke down barriers as the first female, first African American, and the first employee of a community pharmacy. In response to her working at a community pharmacy she stated, “The greatest experience was helping poor African American people who couldn’t even pay for their medicine. Pharmacy gave me an opportunity to help people who needed help.” Like Mary, we take value in helping others.

March is Women’s History Month and we want to shed light on some of the women that have pioneered the way for others in the pharmaceutical industry. Elizabeth Gooking Greenleaf is considered to be the first woman pharmacist in the 13 colonies. Previously, this role was held exclusively by men; however, this did not stop Greenleaf from doing what she truly wanted to do. Elizabeth is 1 of the 17 women honored by the American Pharmacist Association for “contributions to the profession and advancement of women in pharmacy.” We are inspired by the contributions Elizabeth made towards women in the pharmaceutical space.
