Workshop Alert! In person at The The Rosarium/Rosarium Blends in Olympia, Wa

Step into a sacred space of remembrance and creation with the Poppets as Healing Tools Workshop.

A hands-on experience designed to honor, release, and transform grief through art and ritual. Since 2012 Mugga has lead these intimate workshops that have guided participants in crafting personal poppets, rooted in ancient folk and ancestral traditions. Historically, poppets were used as spiritual vessels of intention, healing, and connection. In this workshop, they become personal tools for honoring loved ones who have passed and nurturing a connection between our worlds.

Together, we’ll begin with a reflective conversation on the lineage of these healing tools across cultures and time. Then, you’ll be guided through creating your own poppet, crafting a petition, blending a custom herbal mix to activate your piece, and adorning it with textiles and symbols that hold personal meaning. All materials are provided, but we encourage Bringing any Trinkets, fabrics etc of your own to include. This circle is intentionally kept small, limited to seven participants, to ensure a deeply personal and emotionally safe space for sharing, releasing, and creating. Who do you wish to honor? Whom do you miss and long to remember? Is there someone you’re seeking closure with?

Your poppet will become a keepsake of remembrance, an altar piece, and an heirloom of healing, a vessel for love that continues beyond loss.

This Friday, January 30th, The Rosarium will be closed in solidarity with the National Day of Action calling for ICE Out of Everywhere.

What is happening in Minnesota and in communities across the country is a reminder that harm enacted in one place touches us all. When fear and force become normalized, silence becomes complicity. What has been happening in Minnesota can happen anywhere in the country. We believe in showing up with care, conscience, and collective action.

For us, closing the shop is a small but visible gesture, a chosen stillness. A pause with the world.

The Rosarium & Rosarium Blends has always tried to weave ethics, spirit, and action together. This space is more than a storefront; it is a hearth, a place of community and shared values. At times like these, it feels important to step away from business as usual and stand clearly for the dignity and safety of our neighbors.

If you are able, we encourage you to find a march or action near you, support those directly affected, and look for ways to care for your community, not just for a day, but ongoing.
We will reopen on Saturday at NOON and are ever grateful for your understanding and for the ways this community continues to show up for one another.

Beginning with 'Poppets as Healing Tools on Saturday, Feb 28th, from 6–8pm. An intimate, hands-on ritual workshop rooted in ancestral folk traditions where participants craft personal poppets as vessels of grief work, remembrance, and transformation, limited to seven participants to ensure a sacred and emotionally safe container.

Continuing this journey, Cheyanne joins us on Sunday, March 1st for private psychic and evidential medium readings from 12–5pm, followed by a free evening Sundries for the Soul book talk and signing from 6–7:30pm, celebrating the release of her first book, a deeply personal workbook distilled from over 30 years of parapsychology study and professional practice spanning California, Seattle, and New Orleans, now rooted in the Catskill Mountains; Readings are available in 30- and 60-minute sessions.

Balthazar Blacke’s Divine Gypsy Mother is a reimagining of the nineteenth century fortune telling system popularly known as gypsy cards, which invoke the divining legacy of the Romani people. The book and cards showcase original artwork by renowned tarot artist Alexander Daniloff. These enchanting cards and book are sold as a set, and provide a highly practical and nuanced method of divination.

The symbolism of the cards has been updated to clarify meanings, drawing on the examples of hand-painted decks from the 1800s and the plethora of mass market versions, whilst staying true to the spirit of the original Gypsy cards.

Gypsy cards were originally sold without instructions, diviners relied on the titles of the cards and their images alone.
