We often talk about peace and high vibrations, but being human means navigating the low ones, too. Recently, I found myself in a hospital bed, facing a familiar wave of medical panic. Even with all the tools in my belt, that visceral rush of anxiety is real and overwhelming.
The battle started before I even arrived. The anticipation was so heavy that I vomited just thinking about going, again in the car, and multiple times while enduring the dreaded IV work. My body was in a full-scale rebellion against the environment and the needles I fear so much.
I was in so much pain and so deep in my panic that I actually looked at the nurse and joked, "Can you just give me some kind of concoction to render me unconscious? Then you can take the blood and do the IV while I'm out." 🫣
In those moments, the "healer" truly becomes the one in need of healing. I had to lean hard into my own practice—focusing on the rhythm of my breath and the subtle flow of energy to keep me tethered when my mind and my body wanted to bolt.
This is exactly why I am so passionate about holistic, non-invasive healing. My own triggers with medical environments have led me to embrace a path that honors the nervous system rather than shocking it. I’ve lived the dread, and it’s why I’ve built a practice centered on gentleness and peace.
If you’re navigating your own "hospital-grade" anxiety or a season of fear, know that it doesn’t make you less "spiritual." It makes you human. Your peace isn't gone; it’s just under the surface, waiting for you to breathe your way back to it. ✨🦋☮️
