After the doctors visits, what they face is beyond their control…things outside the doctor’s office like food, transit, housing, money, goods, care, the list goes on.

That’s why the social determinants of health are a big concern for the patients.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Medhanjali Dasgupta has accepted the role of Vice President of the Calistus Multiple Myeloma Foundation (CMMF).

Dr. Dasgupta is a structural biochemist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) with a deep commitment to advancing patient-centered cancer care through science, education, and community engagement. Her passion for translating complex science into clear, accessible knowledge empowers patients, caregivers, and families to make informed decisions.

As Vice President, Dr. Dasgupta will support executive leadership, contribute to strategic planning, and help advance CMMF’s programs and partnerships—driving clarity, collaboration, and sustainable impact for those affected by multiple myeloma.
