Join Omaha ForUs in honoring Su***de Prevention Week, Sept 10-12. Omaha ForUs is proud to offer a variety of mental health services that are for us by us. Visit the Center this week to learn about su***de prevention, local resources, and create chalk art!
Tuesday, 9/10 - 6-7:30 pm - Talk Saves Lives training, in partnership with the Amercian Foundation for Su***de Prevention Nebraska Chapter, 6-7:30. This introductory training will provide participants with information about su***de risk factors, warning signs, protective factors, self-care, and how to support someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. This training is free, but registration is required and space is limited. Visit omahaforus.org for more information and to register. Come early to check out the information table!
Wednesday, 9/11 - 6-7:30 pm - 19+ Q***r & Trans Support Group; this general support group fosters intergenerational community, peer support, empathy, and collective perspective through shared experiences with trained facilitators.
Thursday, 9/12 - 5-7pm - Chalk it Up For More Tomorrows! Grab some sidewalk chalk and spread messages of hope and resiliency while engaging in some self care and community building at Gayme Night!
All week during open hours there will be a mental health information table set up in the lobby. Stop by anytime to learn more about resources in the community and pick up some swag.
