The Grief Garden Child Life Practicum application is open for the Summer 2026 practicum opportunity.
Grief Garden accepts 1 student for the position and follows Association of Child Life Professionals application/offer deadlines.

Tis' the season to be spooky!
Halloween is great fun, but can also lend itself to some misconceptions about death for kids because of the common visual and story examples of zombies, ghosts, mummys, the grim reaper, or other imaginary characters that either evade or return from the dead.

You can help clear these misconceptions by using concrete language (dead, dying, dead) when referring to death that happens in your life AND by reiterating that these fun characters are just a part of Halloween imagination.

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Siblings can be forgotten grievers when a pregnancy ends or a baby dies, mainly because pregnancy and infant loss is hard to explain; especially when it makes no sense to adults.
Grief Garden is remembering and holding space for these families every day, but especially tonight.
