❄️ Nebraska winters can be tough, and even tougher on your back! With snow already on the ground and in the forecast again, here are some helpful tips to prevent injury when shoveling:

✔️ Warm up first! A few minutes of stretching can get your muscles ready for the work ahead.
✔️ Use proper form by bending at your knees, keeping your back straight, and letting your legs do the lifting.
✔️ Push, don’t lift. When possible, push the snow to a curb or the grass instead of scooping it.
✔️ Shoveling is hard work, so take breaks, listen to your body, and pace yourself.
✔️ Grab the right equipment. A lightweight, ergonomic shovel can make a big difference.

If you do sustain an injury, our team is here to help all winter long. Stay safe out there! ❄️💪
