Miss her smile ❤️

One of our employees, Yvonne Smaby, passed away unexpectedly in early May. Yvonne was a devoted paraprofessional at OHS and also brought her dog Annie along to work as a therapy dog.

Yvonne’s children all graduated from OHS and her husband Tim is a member of our Board of Education.

Tim said that after their own kids graduated, the students at OHS really became Yvonne’s kids. She chose to spend her time helping those that needed extra attention, and she joyfully brought Annie along to help.

Yvonne’s family wanted to continue her legacy of helping kids in our community, and asked for memorials to be directed to either the School District’s Food Pantry or Lunch Fund.

We are humbled to have received over $8,200 from Yvonne’s friends and family for the children of our district.

We thank everyone who donated and we will be sure to continue her legacy of loving and caring for our students.....her students. ❤️
