Some souls leave paw prints so deep on our hearts that their absence feels louder than any words we could ever say.

Sweet Sadie was never just a dog. She was Ashley’s whole world. Her comfort. Her constant. Her safe place on both the quiet days and the overwhelming ones.

Ashley would always joke that Sadie looked like a baby seal. Soft, round, impossibly sweet… The kind of girl who made everyone smile the moment they met her. The kind of love that didn’t need to be spoken to be understood.

Since losing her, when the grief feels too heavy to hold, Ashley finds herself returning to a song — “A Fire On A Hill” by Hands Like Houses. Letting the music carry the memories. Replaying the moments. Holding onto the love that never fades, even when the physical presence is gone.

Because grief, especially the grief of a fur baby, is not small.

It is not “just a pet.” It is the loss of routine. The loss of unconditional love. The silence where there was once companionship.

Sadie is missed more than words could ever fully express. And there will never be another fur baby quite like her.

Ellen was a whirlwind of energy. Always singing, always dancing, always turning ordinary moments into something magical. She never just listened to music… She felt it. If she was driving, you could hear her coming a mile away. Windows down, volume up, living life out loud.

She had that kind of spirit. The kind that made everything brighter.

When her great-grandson was born, she couldn’t believe she was a great grandmother. There was no way she was ready for that title. So instead, she became “GG.” And somehow, that fit her perfectly. Playful. Young at heart. Full of life.
