It takes someone really brave to be a mother. Someone’s strong to raise a child. And someone special to love someone more than herself.

This Mother’s Day I’m extra thankful for all the selfless and brave mommas out there- you are real life superheroes!

It is also equally as important to recognize, however, those for whom Mother’s Day is potentially bittersweet—
mothers who have lost children, those who have lost mothers, those with strained mother relationships, mothers with strained child relationships, those who have chosen not to be mothers, those longing to be mothers, and those raising and nurturing children who aren’t biologically theirs.
