I just want to share a recent experience I had with JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores

I bought a singer sewing machine from them as a second machine for my business. Within 5 minutes of using the machine it broke. It was a $400 machine. Their policy on their website says that they accept returns but there would be a $25 restocking fee.

I took the machine to the store where I was told by multiple people and their corporate office that if the box has been opened, they will not accept the return. They will not exchange it. They do not care about your broken machine. They say to call Singer, who says no, you return it to Joanns or find a place that can repair it for you.

My point is to share far and wide that you should only purchase fabric from Joann’s. If anything happens to a big ticket item that you happen to buy from them, they claim that they are only a “reseller” whatever that means.

It’s incredibly frustrating and wrong on so many levels. I hate to buy from Amazon, but at least they have a great return policy!
