Out of all of the unsolicited advice and words we’ve been offered before and after Emma’s arrival one thing holds true. Time flies by.
Next week Emma will be 10 months old. In two quick months my baby will be ONE. So much has happened over this past year, though we’ve spent 99% of our time in athleisure, we’ve learned so much about each other and what’s really important in life, and we have all grown so much. But looking back I can’t help but feel like even the long days seem short and the moments pass by too quickly. I want time to pause so I could get just a few more moments with my girl now, as this little curious, free spirited little beauty.
She makes everything better, everything sweeter, she really forced me to put more purpose & perspective behind every single thought and action. Being her mom is the greatest gift I’ve ever received. I really don’t know what I have done to be chosen as Emma’s mommy but I will forever be grateful.
So if you’ve gotten this far here is my unsolicited advice, cherish every single moment, the good, the bad, and those really tough days where you have to sit in the rocker all day. Hold that baby tight because the days seem long but they aren’t. Before you know it your baby starts resembling a toddler and standing on their own on the brink of walking. These are the moments that happen once in a lifetime and these are the moments that are truly priceless.
