A smile to a stranger, a hug to a loved one. Handwritten cards. Freshly baked cookies. “This one’s on me.” More grace to silly mistakes. Quality time in good company. Making something with your hands. Filling your space with a good scent, painting the walls with a candle’s flicker. Book recommendations. Finding roots deep in joy. Slowing pace in a busy season. Sore stomachs from consistent laughter.

If you’re feeling anything like me right now, I hope you remember the power these simple things can hold in bringing you back to peace 🤍

A smidge late to sharing these — but the warmness that’s been sitting in my heart thanks to the people and places that filled the days captured here is still so strong 🥹

Traveled a bit up north to meander then traveled to Boise the weekend after to meander some more 🕊️

So grateful for all the years my neighbors have let me invade their backyard to snag some from their tree. Heaven

Mental health awareness month — it only feels right to say something. For those who have known or been following me on here for a while now, you’ll know I’m a major advocate for therapy. This year marks four since I started going, initially learning to manage an eating disorder turned into unfolding every aspect of my life, from my young young childhood to now. This year was really big for me, filled with a depth of needing to care for myself that I’ve never before experienced. Had it not been for therapy, for my utmost supportive family & my dear friends who sat with me on the hardest days of my life, the year would’ve felt even heavier than it did.

There’s no shame tied to therapy. There’s no worthy value tied to people who care for you so seriously & love you so well. There’s more to be said about the little things you can do to care for you — eating well, moving your body, getting outside, reading books or watching shows that calm you, spending time with people who feel like home.

As always, I’m open as a book talking about this stuff. Feel free to message me to chat, but also remember there are people in your day-to-day who would be more than ready to love you in the ways you need 🤍
