I’ve been getting a lot of calls about after-school meltdowns from parents lately. If this sounds familiar, know that you’re not alone 💛
These moments hit hard at my house too 🤯 After a long school day, my kids’ brains have been working overtime. When they get home, they sometimes let it all out. While it is challenging, I remind myself that our house is their emotional 'safe zone.'
Here are 3 quick tips that work:
✨ Snack first (everything’s harder when they’re hungry)
✨ A little quiet time to recharge by drawing, reading or listening to music
✨ Moving their bodies - bike, scooters, playing outside
These meltdowns are common, and with small shifts, afternoons can feel so much calmer!
