Through the lens of homeopathy🧐
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)~
Where exercise is the bees knees for issues that come with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), like insulin resistance, heavy lifting can create more harm than good. Lifting heavy weights increases testosterone, and in return can create a higher level of androgens that are produced by the adrenal glands. Guess what fuels PCOS? High levels of androgens.
"But heavy lifting created more muscle, less body fat, and my blood sugar numbers are better." ~That is awesome! How are you periods? Are you still relying on birth control to manage them? If you wish to conceive have you yet?
The goal is to feel better, obviously, BUT you have to look at the whole picture if you really want to look at whole health and root cause. Just because you lost weight (which is great!) does not mean that you have fixed your PCOS. Your periods, and fertility are your 5th vital sign, for both men and women and it is crucial to consider those things when looking at your whole health.
Maybe what you need is rest. Maybe what you need is gentle exercise, a slower life and lots of LIVER support. There is so much that can help women get out of the endless cycle of PCOS without using birth control, which in the end does nothing for root cause issues.
