Last week we had the honor of fulfilling our first Life Longing request. Miss Kdee and her husband Ryan were so wonderful to work with. She requested a beach day with family and friends and she showed up looking fabulous in her sun hat and daisy sunglasses. 🌼

The Friends of Hospice ensured they had what they needed to enjoy this special day with their loved ones. We coordinated transportation and the use of the beach wheelchair, provided a sun tent, a volunteer nurse to accompany them, snacks, drinks and subs for lunch. 💜

With the help of her friends and family, Kdee was able to put her feet in the water, her toes in the sand, and even create a painting to cherish. ☀️

🌊Calling all teens! We need volunteers to help us at Camp Waves of Hope! 🌊

💜Our Big buddies are ages 13-18+ and they stay from Sunday, August 17th through Wednesday, August 20th. Our Big buddies are paired with a Camper (age 8-12) on Monday and remain with them for the duration of Camp Waves as a mentor and a friend. You will take part in fun summer camp games as well as healing activities which are often as beneficial for our Big buddies as they are for the campers.

💜If you volunteer with us, you will receive 72 hours of community service.

💜Please remember this is a bereavement camp and we maintain a supportive, kind and comfortable environment.
