Classroom Instruction (~1 hour)

The SABRE Instructor teaches critical behavioral and mental skills designed to help keep students safe indoors and in public. The objective is to be as interactive and engaging as possible in order to help students remember each of the tips and mnemonics. It is broken down into two parts:

•The Sabre Mindset = PREVENTION ◦Students adopt an awareness attitude in which they can identify and avoid potentially dangerous situations.
◦Students learn how to deter threats from occurring by understanding an attacker's "testing" techniques, passing that "test," and intimidating the attacker.

•Multiply Your Force = PROTECTION ◦"Multiply Your Force" is multi-dimensional: taking personal responsibility for personal safety, safety in numbers, and effective protection that doesn't require strength.
◦Personal safety sprays are introduced as an effective tool to protect at a safe distance.
◦Simple and instinctual physical defensive techniques help distract and ward off an attacker. Hands-On Training (~1 hour)
•Prepares students mentally and physically using preventative and defensive safety tactics.
•Emphasizes deterring an attacker using behavioral tactics and verbal commands.
•In the event of an attack, techniques are designed to be non- or low-impact simply to create or keep separation from the attacker in order to avoid longterm physical injury.
•Drills are phased to give every student the opportunity to master each of the basic techniques before implementing them into reality-based, role-playing scenarios.
