You don’t need to bring anything extra, just a few skills that support you.
1. Mindfulness
Pausing before responding and noticing what’s happening in your body and emotions.
2. Distress Tolerance
Stepping away, grounding yourself, or taking a breath when things feel overwhelming.
3. Emotion Regulation
Naming what you’re feeling instead of pushing it away.
4. Interpersonal Effectiveness
Setting boundaries or changing the subject without over-explaining.
Caring for yourself is always allowed, even during the holidays.
