Let's find Candyse a kidney

Let's find Candyse a kidney This last year with the pandemic, life has been so hard for all of us. Fortunately, most of us are h By October, her vision was slowly coming back.

In June 2019, Candyse was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis, aka Kidney Lupus. She spent a month in a couple of different hospitals before starting dialysis. In July 2019, Candyse was back in the hospital after they found a blood clot in her lung. Throughout dialysis, doctors and nurses pulled over 200 pounds of fluid off of her. In September of 2019, Candyse was beginning her recovery by walking again. She still couldn't drive because she had blind spots from a protein build up in her eyes. Over the course of the next 8 months, Candyse had to change her whole life - from diet to regular movement, and taking daily medications. In July of this year, a kidney biopsy revealed a transplant was needed. As if all this wasn't enough, Candyse developed Shingles on her face. Thankfully, the Shingles cleared up after about 3 weeks. Candyse is still doing dialysis today, 3 times a week, 3 hours each treatment. She is back to work full-time and is hopeful she will find a kidney donor very soon. This is where you come in! Please just take a minute to fill out this form to see if you qualify for being a donor. It's all anonymous and there is NO obligation. The form MUST be filled out before St. John's can contact you. This form only shows you are interested in finding out if you can donate a kidney to Candyse. Even sharing this form with your friends and family will get Candyse one step closer to a more normal and calmer life. Candyse has always been there for all of us when we have ever needed her, so let's rally for her! Fill out the form today and share this page!

Health Update: Hello everyone! I know this is LONG overdue... but every time I went to share, there was even better news around the next corner... so procrastination paid off this time- HA :)

Dialysis/ Kidney: As of last week, my labs have improved enough that I have been switched to only 2 days a week versus 3- WOOHOOO! This means my kidneys are actually improving! All I can say is THANK YOU. Each and every one of YOU! Thank you for every single prayer sent out, every positive thoughts & vibe sent my way... IT'S ALL WORKING! I love all of you so much!

This doesn't mean I am off of the donation list... at least for now. Keep the positivity and prayers coming in... and maybe I won't need a kidney one of these days! :) Until then I am going to dialysis (only 2x now!), working, praying, being the best I can be, helping others rise to the top and spreading the word of kidney donation!

At Work: GREAT! We're back in-person and going full steam ahead! Can't wait for an amazing school year full of kiddos, a great team, a new stadium and tons of catering! woohoo!

I think that covers the bases for now. I'm so excited I can't hardly type this post... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I couldn't ask for a better medical team at dialysis or external support team!
